How and where we use AI

AI is everywhere. But there is a big gap between the hype and reality. At OntwerpKracht, we do not use AI because it is trendy — we use it because it delivers real value, both in our own workflow and in the solutions we build for clients.

AI in our development process

We use AI tools daily to work faster and better:

• Code assistance — AI helps us write, review, and refactor code. Not as a replacement for our developers, but as an accelerator. Think of quickly generating boilerplate, catching bugs, or suggesting optimizations.
• Documentation and communication — From technical documentation to translating complex concepts into clear language for clients.
• Prototyping — AI lets us experiment with ideas and visual concepts faster, before we start the actual build.

AI in client solutions

Where things get really interesting is in the products we build. Real-world examples:

• Smart chatbots — Not the frustrating bots from five years ago, but AI-powered assistants that understand context and genuinely help. Ideal for customer service, FAQs, or internal knowledge bases.

Where we deliberately do not use AI

Not everything needs AI. We do not use it where it offers no clear benefit, or where it introduces risks. Think of sensitive decisions without human oversight, or situations where a simple if/else works just as well.
